Required Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Public Speaking, provide training courses in EHS to Industry
- Developing and implementing environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs
- Reviewing existing EHS programs for adequacy and opportunities for improvement
- Performing environmental and industrial hygiene sampling and data analysis
- Conducting EHS compliance audits and due diligence assessments
- Interpreting EHS rules and regulations
- Inspecting and evaluating work operations, production methods, and engineering controls to determine potential contaminant emission sources or related health and safety hazards associated with work place conditions
- Conducting investigations of working conditions in places of employment for the prevention of occupational disease and industrial health and safety hazards, with specific reference to toxic substances, noise, and harmful physical agents
- Consulting with management, industrial engineers, employee representatives, and other agencies regarding environmental and occupational health and safety problems and solutions
- Effectively communicating internally and externally through written reports, technical presentations and verbal discussions
- Keeping abreast of technology and current issues through seminars and training
Ability to conduct field assessments and travel as needed
Educational Requirements: BS required, MS preferred. May be in technical field such as Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Hygiene, Safety or Environmental/Public Health.
Must have or be willing to actively pursue certification of at least one of the following:
- American Board of Industrial Hygiene (CIH)
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP)
Past Experience: 3-5 years' experience in the technical practice of EHS. This experience must include one or more of the following:
- Designing and conducting field work relative to EHS evaluations;
- Collecting, interpreting and reviewing exposure data relative to health significance and environmental impact,
- Preparing reports to clients
- Developing and implementing EHS programs on a variety of subjects for clients
- Researching health, safety and environmental regulations
- Effectively communicating with internal and external customers
